Frequently Asked Questions about rental

For your information, in this section you can find answers to the frequently asked questions about our rental service.

How do I reserve a motorcycle rental?

To make a motorcycle rental reservation, 25% of the total will be paid. The rest 30 days before the delivery of the motorcycle.

At Travelbike we are experts in groups, and we can make reservation amounts more flexible, manage payments with each member of the group, etc.

What kilometers can I do?

Mileage is unlimited for rentals of 7 days or more. In the case of rentals from 1 to 6 days there will be a limit of 300 kilometers per day. The price of the additional KM is € 0.30 per kilometer.

What happens if I have a mechanical breakdown or accident during the motorcycle rental?

Travelbike has a 24- hour telephone number (+34 640 570 585) for emergencies where you can call for immediate assistance. Our team will ensure that the motorcycle reaches Travelbike or the BMW workshop as soon as possible and you can continue your journey

Where do I collect my motorcycle?

You can pick up the motorcycle at TravelBike’s offices and rental points .

Travelbike offers the possibility of delivery and collection for individuals or groups in hotels. These services have an additional cost that varies according to the number of motorcycles, location, season or other factors and are subject to availability.

Collection and delivery times for motorcycles?

Travelbike schedule for motorcycles is collected from Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 10 : 00 to 14:00, outside these hours could deliver the bikes under pedi do to hola@travelbike.eu . If you have the rental early, Travelbike allows you FREE to pick up the motorcycle the day before at 18:00 (as long as it is not a holiday). The same occurs in the return, if your return is scheduled at 18:00 you can return it the next day between 10 and 11 am FREE. In case of returning the motorcycle after 1 1:00, it will count as an additional rental day.

TravelBike offers this service to start and end your trip without stress.

Are the bikes equipped with devices for GPS connection?

The entire motorcycle fleet has support for the BMW V / VI Navigator.You can also rent a BMW Navigator VI navigator for € 10 / day, maximum € 100 per rental.

Can Travelbike help me when booking hotels and on my route?

Yes, Travelbike can help in booking hotels with a price that will surprise you and help you to organize the best road route and load them on your GPS

What are the requirements to rent a motorcycle?

Be over 25 years old, a minimum of 2 years with a large cylinder motorcycle license and have done at least 5000 KM on a motorcycle in the last 3 years. To collect the motorcycle you must present your valid ID or passport, the European Union driving license or, failing that, the International Driving license with a validity period for at least the rental period.

What is the difference between STANDARD insurance and PREMIUM insurance?

Both are fully comprehensive insurance with towing service. STANDARD insurance is included in the price and has an excess of € 2,000 in case of damage. PREMIUM insurance has a franchise of € 350, costs € 20 / day and can be contracted for rentals of 7 days or more.

All deposits will be made by Visa or Mastercard credit card

Can I go out with the motorcycle outside Spain?

Yes. You can use the motorcycles throughout the European territory. It is important that when filling in the reservation form, indicate in the comments section the countries you plan to travel to. It is strictly forbidden to travel with motorcycles outside Europe and cross into Morocco without explicit authorization from TravelBike.

Can I ride off the asphalt or circuit with the motorcycle?

No. It is strictly forbidden to ride a circuit, on unpaved roads or to use motorcycles in the open field. They should only be used on asphalt roads. In case of improper use of the motorcycles, the insurance will not be held responsible and the client will be responsible for the damages caused to the motorbike as well as for compensating TravelBike for the days when the motorbike cannot be used.

Can I leave the suitcases at our premises?

Yes. You can leave your bags during your rental to travel more comfortably, taking only what you need.

Can I pick up the motorcycle in a city other than our offices?

Yes, although you must ask in advance for the availability and cost of the service. Ask us

Can I pick up the motorcycle at the airport?

Yes. Although we always advise that it is better to pick up the motorcycle at our premises or at your hotel where you can change comfortably and leave your bags.

Can someone else pick up the bike at my place?

No, the motorcycle must be delivered to the person listed in the rental agreement. The driver must sign the contract, provide their identification document and driving license.

What is the cancellation policy?

If canceled more than 30 days prior to the rental start date, 100 % of the reservation deposit will be refunded . If the cancellation is made between 30 and 15 days before the start of the rental, 50% of the total rental payment will be refunded. If the cancellation is made less than 15 days in advance, no refund will be made.

 

Can I change the date of my rental?

Yes, it is possible to change the rental date as long as the following conditions are met:

  • The new date must be chosen at the same time that the change of dates is notified.
  • The new chosen date must be within the following 12 months counting from the first day of original rental and as long as there is availability of the chosen vehicle

Is it possible to give away a rental or tour?

Yes. In order to make a surprise gift, you must follow these steps:

Fill in the form with the details of the person who is going to drive the motorcycle. * IMPORTANT: If it is a surprise, put your own information in the email and telephone fields so that we do not contact the person you want to give away.

If the credit card is not the same as the driver’s, please detail it in the comments section.

Also, put in the “comments” section that it is a gift.

Can I rent material ?

At Travelbike we offer modular helmets, jackets, pants, boots and gloves for hire. Consult us at: hola@travelbike.eu

Can I deliver the motorcycle to a different point than the collection?

Yes, Travelbike offers the option of picking up the motorcycle in one city and delivering it to a different city within Europe.
